Sermon Title: From Zero To Hero Scriptural Reference: Judges 6:1-16, Hebrews 11:32, III John 1:2, II Kings 1:2-4 Every believer is destined for a life of victorious living but when sin enters a believers life it leads him/her to a life of poverty, defeat, shame and dishonour. Sin opens the door for the devil and his cohorts to enter into ones life to suppress, oppress, steal, kill and destroy. Sin in a believers life gives the enemy the upper hand over him/her. Sin in a persons life sets his/her life into reverse gear, sin retrogresses your life. Sin takes away your confidence, boldness and faith. It opens the door for fear to enter your life. Sin makes you live a life of unfulfilment and uncontentment. The judgement of God is always released upon a person/people who live in unrepentant sin and evil. God will allow your enemies the Midianites and Amalekites to rule and oppress you when you live an unrepentant life of sin and evil. Effects Of Living Under The Rule/Control Of Your Enemies (Midianites and Amalekites) 1. You will become a wanderer 2. You will be impoverished 3. You will live in constant fear 4. You will lack initiative to break into new territory 5. Your life will see no progress. You will live in circles How To Come Out Of Oppression And The Rulership Of Your Enemy 1. You must acknowledge your weaknesses, repent from your sins and cry out onto the Lord for His mercy and deliverance. 2. You must pray for a divine encounter/angelic visitation for help and deliverance. 3. You must pray for Gods assuring and abiding presence for His help and strength for deliverance. 4. You must pray for Gods assurance of peace. 5. You must pray for Gods empowerment. 6. You must have faith that you will see and experience the manifestation of Gods victory. 7. You must pray for the manifestation of Gods glory in your life. You must be determined to live a holy and righteous life because sin and evil will attract Gods wrath and judgement while a holy and a righteous life attract Gods favour, grace and blessings. Remember righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach. Confess, repent and ask for Gods forgiveness for every unconfessed sin. Pray for the strength and grace of God to live an upright life.
