Sermon Title: Glory In Suffering - Wisdom In Pain III Scriptural Reference: Job 40:1-5, James 1:2-4, 5:11, I Peter 2:19-21, II Timothy 2:3 When doubts cloud your imagination, let the wonders of creation bring illumination. Whenever you encounter problems, difficult times and have a high tendency to lose faith you must look at Gods creation for encouragement and upliftment. You must draw inspiration and strength from the fact that if God takes care of the animals in the forest and the birds of the air then He will take care of you, a human created in His image and after His likeness. In times of hardships you must learn to develop faith from the miracles of the past, know that if God was able to come through for you in the past then He will certainly deliver you in our resent predicaments. Always remember that miracles are meant to lift our faith and trust in God for a better life. We must be careful who we call a friend in the time of our pain and difficult moments because the person(s) around you during your challenging times will determine your level of strength to endure. Your friends in time of trouble are the persons who speak comforting, encouraging and wise words which bring faith and upliftment. If righteousness makes you miserable, the same righteousness will make you memorable. Sometimes we become miserable because of our resolve and principle to live a holy and righteous life but always know God will always reward righteousness. Seven Benefits Derived From Pain And Suffering 1. God will build strong character in you You will develop a strong and refined character in your period of pain. You will gain the trust and admiration of people. People will testify of your good Character. Let people respect you not for your wealth but for your good character. 2. You will develop endurance Endurance is the ability to go through tough and hard times and still come out successful. As a believer you must have a strong reserve to go through rough and tough times. This comes by your ability to overcome your pain and difficult times. Endure your challenges with joy because at the end God will honour you. The virtue of endurance is a prerequisite for leadership. 3. You will gain patience Patience comes through pain and suffering. As believers we must learn to wait for Gods time in our lives. Remember, God makes all things beautiful in His time. 4. You will find Gods will and purpose for your life It is during your time of pain and challenges that you find the purpose of God for your life. You gain deeper understanding of your purpose on earth in your period of suffering. 5. You will acquire the virtue of compassion You develop compassion for people in your period of pain. You learn how to be compassionate and help people in their time of pain. 6. You learn humility Your predicaments make you humble. It 7. You obtain glory and a legacy God shows His glory always at the end of our challenges. When you go through punishment for doing wrong it is not righteous pain. If you however suffer for doing good and you endure the pain to the end then you will be rewarded with the blessings and restoration from God. When you are obedient to suffering and pain as a result of Gods counsel and purpose you will be honoured with a good name.
