Service Manager - Bennington, VT PURPOSE: The Service Manager is responsible for the workflow and the profitability of the service department. As such, the manager controls the major overhead costs of the dealership service department and influences customer satisfaction, owner loyalty, and enforcement of company policies and procedures. FORECASTING DUTIES: • Forecast sales, gross profit, and expenses monthly and annually, within 10% MANAGEMENT DUTIES: • Manage monetarily, structurally, and fundamentally any area that may directly or indirectly be accessible to, or provide a service for the general public. This may also include working along side the manager of another department or sister store to achieve the common goal. • Strive to set goals toward excellence in the field, camaraderie amongst your employees, and ultimately maximize profitability. • Create an environment for every customer/ potential customer that is easily accessible, as convenient as possible, and provides a service second to none. The dealership is, in some cases, the last resort for problem vehicles. It is therefore your responsibility to accommodate the customer, to the best of your ability, utilizing all available resources, to facilitate an effective and thorough transaction, while making their experience as pleasant as possible. QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information • High school diploma or the equivalent • Two years of experience in an auto repair facility • Factory training credentials • One year of supervisory experience preferred • Excellent communication, supervisory, and managerial skills • Must be able to follow and enforce company policies and procedures • Must have valid in-state driver’s license, maintain an acceptable, safe driving record and are insurable under the company insurance policy in order to drive customer vehicles Please email resume to careers@carr-recruiting See carr-recruiting for other job openings
