Set back with Chavez Bruce 454 LSX. Blueprinted oil clearances no problem, went to install cam bearings and they seemed too tight. Instead of forcing them in, we stopped and investigated why. After much swearing, we found that the cam tunnel sizing is undersize .0015. This might night seem much, but when interference fit is .0008, and now its .0023, thats 3 tighter than it suppose to be, impossible to fit. LSX race block, and cam tunnel not machined correctly. Same as deck, it was warped and had to be machined as well. Anyone would think a new race block would be good to go as delivered, but they never are.
