Set up for tonight, comet Lovejoy watching and a little more Jupiter. Ill take a break to hear the Pres. once I get the scope tracking the comet . It is the brightest it is going to be leaving the earth behind, never to come back. You can find it easily with binoculars to the right of the Pleiades. It is about half the size of a full moon, a glowing fuzzball. Any body that finds a new comet can name it after themselves. This guy Lovejoy an Australian has found four new comets, each named after him. He is an amateur using a fairly small scope, taking many photos each of different regions of the sky then scanning them for new what appear to be stars that werent there previously, must be pretty dedicated.
