Seth McFarlane and Neil deGrasse Tyson, on their show Cosmos, Is presenting a simple argument: Science is good, and Religion has always stepped in the way of Scientific Progress. This is A Lie. However, there is a growing academic support for lying in order to support science. The idea is, rational and correct arguments are not going to persuade the populace, thus it is necessary to use false yet effective arguments to get the people on the side of science. This is an atrocity. Not only are they bashing religion, but they defile their pursuit of truth. McFarlane, Tyson. You should be ashamed. If Carl Sagan was alive, he would disown you. He spoke for the truth, no matter what.
