Seven years back when I started working, my Mom asked me to send some money back home. Honestly, I didnt want to. I was all new to the corporate world, earning myself for the first time and all that. But I knew my Mom had to ask Dad for every single thing as she was a housewife. She was very qualified though, but she quit working to take care of us kids. I wouldve sent money about 30-35 times of the 55 odd months I worked after which I quit and have started a manufacturing and production related company about 1.5 year back. Had some backing and some plans fell apart and was in need for some money. Asked my friends, some of them agreed without asking a question, but things were rough and needed a little more to stay afloat. I didnt want to bother my parents, especially my Dad as he would then be more worried about the status quo of what we have started, so I asked my Mom if she could ask Dad for some money saying she needs it herself and not to tell him that I need it. She sent me the details of the bank a/c which she had opened in my name and had kept all the money I had been sending her in the last 6-7 years. Not a penny was spent, she just kept saving it for my own sake. - Friends wall
