Several days ago my 5 year old daughter was in the backyard by herself playing. As I looked out the kitchen window I saw her sitting at our picnic table and called the family over to look as she was moving her hands and mouth as to having a conversation with someone...but no one was there. We all thought it was cute and made remarks about her imaginary friend. The next day as we were waiting for the school bus together she says to me out of the blue, Mom yesterday at the picnic table I talked to Jesus. She had no idea we saw her there. My heart signed and my eyes filled with tears as I realized that indeed she had a friend that was with her when no one else was or wanted to be; no not an imaginary friend, but just as real of a friend as her own mother, father, sister, or brothers. In this month of Thanksgiving be thankful for Jesus who didnt just die to forgive us of our sins, but to reconcile us back as sons and daughters of our daddy God who by the Holy Spirit loves to be with His children. Take time to be thankful... by just being with Daddy.
