Several friends have facedbooked me asking about my accident. So here it is in brief: stepped down on some uneven pavement and fractured my ankle and leg in several places. Had surgery on Weds and am on bed rest for 3 days. Have a soft cast now and have to get re-casted with a hard cast on Monday. Will be in that for 6 more weeks, non weight-bearing. After that, I will have a walking cast. So I have a rolling scooter I kneel on with my bad leg and scoot with the other. But this is very minimal as needed in the house. I have to keep my leg elevated above my heart. I love my doctor. Got great care at St. Joes Pontiac. My husband, daughter and sister Carla are taking great care of me and my son, other sisters and daughter-in-law are lined up to help next week. So Im in great hands. I am on medical leave. Thats about it! I wont be driving in the snow again this season I dont think ... gotta find that rainbow!
