Several honest & hardworking PNGians have been suspended or terminated for speaking out against corruption in public forums on FB! Even by organisations who claim to promote transperancy & accountability! Why are people attacking authors of stories or someone who reposts?? Where Public Funds are concerned, EVERYONE has a right to ask questions. If the allegations made on the posts are not true, simply rebut the untruths with the truths as you know it and clear the air. Trying to attack authors will not do you any favours. You are simply diverting attention. As stated and I repeat, where PUBLIC FUNDS are concerned, EVERYONE has a right to ask questions. Stick to the issues raised and discuss the truth or untruth in them. Issues raised on social media are for discussion & information purposes yet when you do so, you are suppressed, threatened or terminated because people are either tight-lipped & avoiding the issue or collaborating with corrupt cronnies or are corrupt themselves! Where is the media freedom in PNG? MPs present cheques or open a project and say, they did this and that! Bullshit! It didnt come out of their own pockets but from us the honest & hardworking tax payers! Eg: I pay around K600/fn tax x 26fn = K15,600 per annum. A thousand other working PNGians with similar tax put together is a whooping K15,600,000. We have the right to question and speculate on projects or contracts that do not look right without fear, favour, threat, coercion or suppression!
