Several newspapers today have reported that an American Church which sells a product called MMS or Miracle Mineral Solution is holding an event in Dublin this weekend. This product is corrosive and toxic in the concentrated form sold. The diluted product, if swallowed, is likely to produce effects similar to household bleach. Last year the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned the public not to consume or use Miracle Mineral Solution. The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) (formerly the Irish Medicines Board) has stated that MMS is not a licensed medicine in Ireland and cannot be sold here.
