Several years ago, I was flying with the help of the Flylady.net website to get organized because I am not a natural organized person and needed help. I loved it, it told me what to do every day, so in a matter of a month, I was flying, my house was practically cleaning itself, was sitting with my hubby by 6pm and in bed by 9pm. Everything was orderly and scheduled and peaceful. So, for 2 years my whole house was clean and tidy, and living in a chaos free atmosphere here at my home. Somewhere along the road though, little by little I fell off the wagon, stop doing the daily routines, clutter crept in not only into my house, my mind, my time was taken up by other things, volunteering at school, and yes even Facebook. I have to admit that even though I use FB to minister, pray and preach, it was taking too much time. It took time from doing my chores, and it got in the way of spending time with my family. Recently, getting ready for my daughters birthday, I enlisted the help of my friend Graciela Deluca and Patricia Zamora, they were so sweet to assist me. It was on Friday the 24th that my spirit clicked within me to want to start flying again. Not only in the areas of my house but also in my spiritual areas, that had been lacking as well. I was using calendars, schedules and such to organize my life, even scheduled time with the Lord. Unfortunately, it slipped away. But, talking to my friend Patricia and her being an example of a Proverbs 31 women in all areas of her life, as far as I could see, and knowing her for 10 years, still the same and stronger. She prioritizes her life, down to the T, so I listened. She gave us godly council prayed for my husband and I and came into an agreement that we will get back to the things that have been neglected in those areas, especially in our spiritual life and with our kids. Thank You Lord. Since Monday, I visited the Flylady website and watched a few videos and it totally motivated me. I did what it said, today my house is clean, and yesterday I even cleaned the chaos in my kids rooms. I wanted it to be a blessing to them when they came from school. Everything was done, and when they entered, they were glad and came to thank me. Gave them a good meal, my husband is grateful, and I can see a willingness to help too, to make a change as well and is being supportive. Later that night, my husband gathered us and we had a short meeting and talked about what we would be doing on a daily basis, that is to engage in a short bible study and prayer. At first there was resistance, but then after we all prayed, the kids had a peace on their faces. This morning, I am glad to report that the kids left their rooms just as they found it, neat and tidy. Praise the Lord, we will continue to do it together, as a team and unto the Lord. God is a God of order and we need to imitate Him in our daily lives. He is our Peace. I hope this is an encouragement to others. flylady.net/d/getting-started/
