Several years ago a friend made a donation in my name to PETA after our dog died. While I appreciated the sentiment I had to let her know that PETA is a scary organization and I didnt realize their agenda until I joined them and became active in college. I was shocked and immediately distanced myself from them. So many people dont realize and support them. PETA does not believe in pet ownership- period. They would rather see healthy adoptable dogs and cats be destroyed than placed in loving homes. They feel pet ownership is wrong. Period. They dont believe in horseback riding,so their attempt to ban the carriage horse industry is just the beginning. When you make a holiday donation this year please support a worthy animal rescue group who actually supports, rehabilitates and helps animals, not one like PETA who uses your charitable donation to kill healthy and adoptable animals.
