Severe Weather Warning IDV28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Victoria Severe Weather Warning for heavy rain for people in the South West forecast district Issued at 10:41 pm EDT on Monday 21 October 2013. Weather Situation A low pressure system over South Australia will drift across Victoria on Tuesday and deepen. Rain areas and isolated thunderstorms will become more extensive and heavy over the Southwest district during Tuesday which may lead to flash flooding for parts of the South West forecast district. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: Dont drive, ride or walk through flood water. Keep clear of creeks and storm drains. For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500. The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EDT Tuesday. This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts; the Bureaus website at bom.gov.au or call 1300-659-217*. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate this warning being broadcast regularly.
