Severe storms & flash flooding a threat across much of South & Central Texas Saturday. Lots of Sun and very warm temps Sunday. As of Friday evening an upper level low over Arizona is approaching Texas (can be seen on water vapor loop here: is.gd/uJWHHf ). This low will interact with a moisture rich environment over the state to produce strong to severe storms and locally heavy rain. Once the late afternoon showers and storms wind down, most of Friday evening, and overnight Friday night should be relatively quiet While no flash flood watch has been issued yet, flash flooding could be a concern Saturday. The heaviest storms will occur Saturday afternoon and evening. High winds will accompany some storms - and even a few tornadoes cant be ruled out. Large hail is a threat, but not likely with this event. Thunderstorms should wind down along the I-35 corridor around midnight Saturday night. Look for lows Saturday morning in the low to mid 60s, and highs in the low to mid 70s. Lows Sunday morning will be in the low to mid 50s. Sunday will see drier air and a westerly component to the wind. Add in lots of Sun, and high temps could reach as high as the low to mid 80s, with 70s in the Hill Country. A front will arrive Sunday evening, switching the winds around to the north, ushering in cooler air - which should remain in place for the rest of the upcoming holiday week. #TXwx #SATwx #AUSwx
