Events planned and sponsored by Seymour Main Street including the Lawn, Garden and Patio Show and Downtown Halloween, and support of Downtown Christmas were joined by the second year of Sidewalk Saturdays that host artisans and crafters sale booths reminiscent of the old sidewalk sales. More than 20 booths participate one Saturday May – September. Seymour small businesses will again be offered the opportunity to participate in shopmainstreets , an virtual tour website that directs shoppers and visitors to Seymour and Jackson County events, eateries, and shopping venues. The Seymour site can be viewed at the website on the Indiana tab. Cost is again $299 for a one year subscription. Any small business interested in being added to the site should contact SMS by leaving a message at bobhilburn@shopmainstreets. All residents are invited to become a member of Seymour Main Street, serve on one of the four committees, and work to revitalize shopping, events, and visitor services in our historic downtown. Work in 2014-2015 will begin with the planning and construction of the trailhead park and other support of downtown business.
