“Shaadi Mubarak Scheme” implementation from today Govt. of Telangana had announced that Shaadi Mubarak Scheme would be launched on 2nd October but it could not do so due to lack of formulation of rules and regulations for it. Its implementation starts today. According to Mr. Jalaaluddin Akbar, IFS, Director of Minorities Welfare, the Dept. has started receiving application online from today. Applicants can also register their applications in person. For further details, website of the Dept. could be seen. It is as follows epasswebsite.cgg.gov.in/. The applicants belonging to districts may submit their applications to the District Minorities Welfare Officer or Executive Director of Minorities Finance Corporation of the District. Govt. intends to provide grants for 20 thousand marriages during the remaining 4 months of the financial year. Govt. had already released Rs. 65 lakh for mass marriages under the previous scheme. The Director of Minorities Welfare has requested the Govt. to transfer the amount directly into the accounts of the applicants. Rs. 51000 will be given for each marriage. It is expected that the Govt. will release the necessary budget on 5th November before the commencement of Assembly session. The Dept. of Minorities Welfare has decided to setup a special counter for providing necessary guidance about this scheme.
