Shabbat Shalom This was a very solemn week. Last shabbat we were entertaining hope that our boys would be returned to us. This week we are mourning our great. loss. Please have a restful sabbath - and remember to keep our boys, their families, the leaders and defenders of Eretz Yisrael and the Jewish people throughout the Diaspora in your thoughts and prayers. We Stand Together - we pray as One. PRAYERS FOR ISRAEL AND OUR BOYS Dear G-d of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob We thank you for our many blessings and for the chance to learn thy teachings and serve thy purpose. We ask for your blessings for the State of Israel, For the Land of Israel, and for the People of Israel. Please bless three children who have been taken from us Eyal ben Iris Teshurah, Gilad Michael ben Bat Galim, Yaakov Naftali ben Rachel Devorah; May their souls rest in peace. Bless their families and comfort them among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Bless the defenders of Israel who guard its frontiers, Watch over its homes, and protect its people. Bless the leaders of Israel with wisdom and courage; Grant them vision and determination. May they be strong in the face of danger, Resolute in the face of challenge, And unwavering in their faith. May Israel remain A beacon of hope for those who are oppressed, An inspiration to those who are free, A source of light to all humanity. We pray for a world in which all men will love thy neighbor as thyself. We pray that our enemies who seek our annihilation, enslave men and maim and murder the innocent will change their evil ways. We pray that the hate in their soul will be replaced by love in their heart; that their pursuit of death and destruction will be replaced with an appreciation for the blessings and opportunities of life; and that they will find peace within themselves - so that there may be peace throughout the world. Fulfill in our times the ancient promise, “They shall abide in peaceful habitations, In safe dwellings, and in quiet resting places.- Zion shall be redeemed through justice, And its inhabitants through righteousness.”
