Shabbat Shalom, from a grant I applied for to promote my next - TopicsExpress

Shabbat Shalom, from a grant I applied for to promote my next book I was inspired to write Letters to God after I was accused of a crime I did not commit by a revengeful ex, desperate to silence me from telling what he did to my children, my mother, me, and many other innocent people. My reason for writing is like that for most writers, like breathing: it is necessary to survive. This book was written like David wrote the Psalms: to cry out to God and know that He hears. The experience that I describe, is like the Psalms: it is a personal lamentation and a description of a universal experience: suffering. It is about suffering, but that is not its object, nor its conclusion. It begins with tears and ends with tears, but it is not about crying, but about healing, hope, and redemption. I began writing the letters in May, 2013 and write a letter whenever I am inspired to do so. At this writing, I have written one volume and am half-way through the next. Like David, God guides my hand. I correct Einstein in one of my letters: “Genius is 99% inspiration and 1% perspiration.” From start to finish, this is unique; I have never read or heard of anything similar. I taught the Diary of Anne Frank to students when I was a teacher, and acted in the play as a high school student. These are not letters to the unknown, the imaginary, but to a known God. And through these letters, I offer the experience of knowing Him as I do. Knowing God is my primary goal, the ultimate gift in life, no doubt. But I also want to demonstrate the miraculous healing power of Yahweh, to give hope and strength to others living through what many believe are the final days.
