Shakespeare Returns to Wilson Park Aug. 2, 3 Chicago Shakespeare Theatre will return to Wilson Park, 4630 N. Milwaukee, this summer for two performance of the classic A Midsummer Nights Dream. After what you might call a less-than-ideal courtship, Theseus, Duke of Athens, awaits his marriage to Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons—the same woman he has just conquered in battle. Theseus soon discovers he isnt the only one with romantic troubles when Egeus approaches him with a problem of his own: his daughter Hermia, whos in love with Lysander, refuses to marry Demetrius, her fathers choice. Hijinx ensue. Performances are Saturday, Aug. 2, at 6:30 pm, and Sunday, Aug. 3, at 4 pm. A sign language interpreter will be at the Sunday performance. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy what is sure to be a fantastic performance.
