Shared by ABC Great Southern - a wonderful find! Albany by Jo Caseley was written a visit to the Desert Corp Memorial on Mount Clarence. I was so moved by the bronze statue of the Anzacs in battle. I went for a swim later that day and as soon as I dived into the water, I was overcome by feelings of grief for all the Anzac soldiers who sailed out of these waters, and never returned. I thought about the hardships of the woman and families left behind and this love story just came to me. It was like there was a woman trying to tell me her story. So I listened.
