Shared by SY/FA: In his lifetime, Prophet Muhammad was insulted, disrespected, and maligned by those who were opposed to the message of peace and Unity of God. In Makkah, the place where he was born, garbage was thrown at him while he prayed and at his doorstep. In the face of insults, he maintained calm, respect, and understanding for those who did not understand PEACE. He simply swept the garbage thrown at him. When the very person who insulted him fell sick, he visited the persons house and even brought food. In the end, he won as the person finally accepted the message of ISLAM=PEACE. Today, Muslims are once again faced with the same situation. I sometimes wonder if Prophet Muhammad was alive today, what advice he would give to the people of the world. I guess he would follow the guidance of God in the Quran: وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا And the servants of the Beneficent Allah are they who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant address them, they say: Peace. And so to those who continue to sow anger, hatred, and agitation by insulting a great man and servant of God; I SAY PEACE. #charliehebdo
