Shared from Adnan Al-Amoudi It is amazing how we all easily surrendered to the illusory idea that were enemies by the nature of who we are and the nature of what we believe in, that somehow our religions essentially contradict or discredit one another. Rather, we seem to have more in common than to disagree about. My guess is that theres a big shortage in interested learners and parties pushing for real collaboration between both cultures and build upon commonalities and highlight areas where the two sides can be aligned to form a strong common civilization. A single strong Middle Eastern civilization where all nationhoods and religions become sub-identities in this grand culture (civilization) is not a form of wishful thinking. It is the actual context where all the regions cultures fit into whether we realize it or not. We have always existed side-by-side and identified ourselves in relation to our next-of-kin cultures. Yes we have all committed severe injustices on one another, mostly in attempts to dominate one anothers lives, but this hasnt always been the history of our communities. If that was true, non of us would have existed and flourished for all those long centuries living side by side. Perhaps we should eliminate the competition mentality and emphasize the importance of collaboration and working together for the common good.
