Sharing Gods Love Mark 12:30-31 30 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” When the religious leaders of the day asked Jesus which was the most important commandment, Jesus answered right away. Their trick question wasnt at all difficult for Him! Jesus summarized Gods Law--the Ten Commandments and all of Leviticus--with these two commands: love God and love your neighbor. God is love. Only amazing love could have prompted Him to release His Son to die for us, the sinful rabble populating this earth! As One whose essence is love, then, God is delighted when we share His love with the people around us. After all, His love first drew each one of us to Him. As we love God and His people in response to the compassion and love we have received from Him, His love works through us to draw others to Him. Gods love is not for hoarding, but for spreading. With whom will you share Gods love today--and whom will you thank for being a channel of His love in your life? Prayer: Help us God to not be selfish with the gift of love you planted inside us. Let us love others even when they arent always lovable. Teach us how to stretch all the resources inside of us so we can make You happy.
