Sharing an update about my friend Echo Salinas (she is part of our Sami American community) newborn baby son Avery who I asked for prayers and good healing thoughts and energy for (as well as his first time parents) here the other day (see recent posts) along with the new info about what is going on with him that she posted. Please continue to pray and/or send good healing thoughts and energy their way and to hold this little wee one (who was just born on Easter) in the light! Her update: Avery finished his 72hr cooling protocol last night at 9:30 and began the warming process right away. Patrick Salinas and I held his hands all night long and I sang him some lullabies. Hes now stable at a normal temperature. Its wonderful to hold his hands and feel them finally warm! We are waiting to hear from the panel of doctors and neurologists about how his brain has healed during the cooling, and we will keep everyone posted as we learn more. Here is a quick fact sheet about Averys condition (moderate-severe Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy) to give you all some info until we find out more.
