Sharing the thoughts of host, Craig Roberts, as shared yesterday on his personal Facebook page. Our condolences to the entire Crabb Family in the wake of their loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. ~ SMC Staff As I sit here tonight preparing for this weeks program, I must admit that my heart is heavy, yet filled with an humble thankfulness to the heritage that I have been blessed with. I find myself lost in time as I listen to the sounds of this beautiful song. You see, when you have been exposed to a family that puts an emphasis on faith in Christ, the powerful emotions of moments such as this are so very tangible. As I reflect upon the ministry of Jason Crabb and The Crabb Family on the eve before they celebrate the final mortal passing of their Matriarch, Billie Richardson, to her eternal reward, I cannot help but empathize with what they must assuredly must be feeling this very night. A praying, apostolic mother/grandmother is a rare occurrence in todays world of compromise. I say that not to offend, but to define a truth that cannot be denied. It is a simple fact for those that have been blessed to have observed privately as a family. Those times when you walk through MeMaws house, thinking everyone is asleep, yet you hear her praying late into the night for her family. Those moments build within you a foundation of faith and belief that is unshakable whether you like it or not, it sticks with you throughout your lifes journey. Forgive me for the lengthy reflection, but I feel led to ask, How many of those selfless souls walk among us in these troubled times? Are we following in their example? You will not find them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc, proclaiming their faith or belief in Christ to the level that they exhibit on their knees quietly every day and night on that old wooden floor, where the finish has been rubbed away from their daily habits of prayer, in that old country frame home that has been a fortress against any force that may come against those that they have interceded and fasted to place a hedge of protection around. What memories I have of my heritage! I am blessed. Would you join me in a prayer of thankfulness for those that remain? Steadfast in their walk, prayerfully in the service of their Lord, their family and their friends. You will not see it on display, but the effects that it blesses those touched are innumerable. Tomorrow another saint of God will be laid to rest. Could we seize this moment to think about all of those that are passing? As well, to this family, the dreaded day of goodbyes and sorrow has come. It is undeniable the impact her walk has had on your anointed ministry. Today that Daystar you sing about, does indeed shine a little more brilliantly, as your beloved Matriarch sits beside the savior in thankfulness for his blessings on your lives. A legacy of the truth of Gods blessings and goodness continues....keep the faith. ~ Craig Roberts
