Sharing this again since Ive seen many people calling this movement stupid or ridiculous or senseless or a waste. Perhaps some do not see the sense in this viral movement...in this challenge. However, numbers dont lie and almost 16 million dollars have been raised in just a few weeks...versus a little over 1 million raised in a whole year in 2013. Raising awareness is crucial in regard to any cause or disease...and THAT is what is most important. So, keep in mind that any time you call this cause stupid or a waste you are ridiculing someone who has loved ones suffering from ALS or who has lost loved ones to this disease....that someone who is desperately wanting to raise awareness. Sure, some people arent donating..some random kids are just doing it for their five minutes of viral fame. But, oh so many more people are doing it with good in their heart and in hope of raising awareness.
