Sharing this photo collage of before (at auction) and current pictures of Miller and I. Time flies when you are having fun and I can hardly believe that I have had Miller for half a year already!! What a great journey we have had together since I snatched this kind and gentle soul from the evil grasp of the killer buyers at the New Holland PA auction last November. As you look through these pics please give pause to reflect on the hideous truth that many thousands of faithful Amish buggy horses die a painful and gruesome death on the kill floors of Canadian slaughterhouses year after year. This is the fate Miller was spared. I was able to spare 77 other Amish and Mennonite buggy horses this fate during my decades in horse rescue. But it is a drop in the bucket when you look at the horrible big picture. Though I am no longer in rescue on the level I once was, I still dream of finding a way to get the word out about what perfect trail and pleasure mounts these horses are. Consider sharing this album and spread the word. I am very highly skilled at selecting the right horses for every riders needs in an auction setting. Wouldnt it be great if I had enough interest to be able to make another trip up to New Holland and save more of these saintly horses AND make peoples dreams come true at the same time?
