Sharing this with all of you ~ Every time I see any of these, especially the main one (first shown) it brings back many wonderful memories of Me & my Dad. He worked at Lundy Lumber in Newberry, (never at the Dalton Do-It-Center), a millright by trade. I remember, as a child, the saw dust around his shop when Mom & I had stopped in for something (it wasnt to often, but I enjoyed visiting Dad at work). When he worked Saturday mornings, I rode along with him to my grandparents (got to watch my cartoons in clolor) while he was at work. Dad was also a handiman, seems like he was always working on a project or two, around the house. Many family & friends called for his advice or help & of course he lent a helping hand. One year, he even made the creash / manger, out of barn boards, for the churchs new ceramic, mother-of-pearl nativity set (my Girl Scout troop painted), thats still being used today. He even made one for our nativity set, which I now have. Once I got into Jr High (Roosevelt) & Sr High schools, I would walk down to meet Dad, at work & road home with him. My children, only knew their PopPop as part of what I described, as he retired when they were young. Isaiah & Clara are the only great grandchild he got to know. Both Mom & Dad was delighted with each visit. This is just a menut part of my precious memories of #myDad, #GeorgLloydFolmar on the day he was born.
