Sharing to you this : "THE QUOTE THAT CHANGED MY LIFE ABOUT SCRIPTURE" One of my favorite books is written by Evangelical Christian pastor, author, educator, and radio preacher Chuck Swindoll. The title is “Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life”. When I turned to page 61, something caught my attention and gripped my heart. Let me share to you what it said. "I know of no other single practice in the Christian life more rewarding, practically speaking, than memorizing Scripture. . . . No other single exercise pays greater spiritual dividends! Your prayer life will be strengthened. Your witnessing will be sharper and much more effective. Your attitudes and outlook will begin to change. Your mind will become alert and observant. Your confidence and assurance will be enhanced. Your faith will be solidified" At first, I thought memorizing scripture was just a way to be knowledgeable. But I didn’t know it does so much more. Scripture memorization impact everything in our life. The way we pray. The way we share Christ to others. Even how we behave and how we see our life. Since then, I made it a point to memorize a verse a week. Then, it became two a week. And it caught on. I do this because I know that Bible verses help me become close to God, His promises, and His purposes. Let me encourage you to memorize scripture. It is vital towards spiritual growth, packing our minds and hearts with truth, and empowering our faith. Memorize Bible verses today.
