Sharon Schienbeinn, Vancouver Island Intl. Tribute Festival . I just returned from an awesome lunch at The Chuffin with the Festival committee where we were happy and very proud to present a cheque for a donation of $5,400.00 to the Canadian Cancer Society Victoria rep. Debi Dempsey on hand to receive the cheque ! Thank you to all the volunteers, the Tribute Artists, all our amazingly generous sponsors, including the City of Parksville and to the audiences who came and contributed by their ticket purchases, the concession purchases, the 50-50 draws..it all went to Cancer, and it will ALL make a difference ! You were all wonderful, and The Canadian Cancer Society was thrilled ! Thanks to all of you from the bottom of our hearts, from the Festival and from The Cancer Society ! Shall we set a goal right now to meet or BEAT it next year ???? I am so proud right now, I am sure we can do that ! Pictures will follow...
