Shaykh Ali said to Shaykh Rabee: “ I will not fight you with enmity like those other than me that have fought you with enmity, but between you and me is knowledge” These were the last words that I said to Shaykh Rabee may Allaah Make him steadfast. This was the last face to face meeting between me and him (Shaykh Rabee) when I was in his house in Mecca it was in the middle of the month of Ramadaan 1429 (AH) and up until this hour I have striven to maintain this declaration. The affirmed superogertery sayings that is compulsory on us is to maintain the characteristics of the salafis towards shaykh Rabee may Allaah make him steadfast.We must mention Shaykh Rabee and other than him from Ahlul Ilm with gentleness and tenderness towards him, even if this entails refuting those mistkakes we see eminate from him may Allah grant him success, because he is only a human being from the (many) human beings, he refutes others and he can be refuted*.
