Shayne Smith Hey Rick Ellis just a little something Id like to share with you! See society as a whole will feel sorry for people with cancer and any other disease except for addiction. But what society fails to hear is that addiction is a disease the same as any other (examples:cancer, diabetes, ext) See people are willing to get help and not be ashamed of those things but when it comes to addiction people want to run and hide from it instead of attacking it. There is a treatment for addicts the same as there are shots for diabetes, and chemotherapy for cancer patients. The treatment for addicts is to first stop using and second to grow with spiritual guidelines. The number one treatment for addicts since the 1930s has been A A. What A A does for addicts people like me is teach us a new way of living based on a God of our own understanding (mine is Jesus Christ) in A A there are things to help people that are spiritually broken these things are meetings, sponsorship, the 12 steps just to mention a few! My point in writing this is to let people and their familys know that there is hope to people that think all hope is gone. That hope lies in the belief and trust in God. People have familys that have given up on trying to help which in some cases is exactly what people need because until a person is ready to start doing Gods Will instead of self will lives wont change! Anyway I want to say thank you for your video Im so deeply sorry for your loss in your daughter but you know and I know because of our faith that Gods plan for your daughters life and tragic death may save hundreds if not thousands of lives. Thank you for your strength and courage to share your message of your own pain and how strong your faith is. God truly has an angel in heaven with your daughter and a soldier on earth with you.
