She She wakes up before the first morning light She switches on the lights but her eyes remain as dark as the night She wakes up before the early morning bird To catch the fat worm of hard work She looks at the sink and her heart sinks, her body shrinks She has a lot of dishes to wash but nothing in her dish Breakfast turns into a fast that cannot be broken Except by tears she sheds every morning her heart is broken Broken by dreams of going to school and follow the rules Turned into packing children’s books and working on their looks She prepares meals with a sweet aroma but she cannot even taste the leftovers The man sees in her an object of his satisfaction to lie his overweight tummy in her with no objection. never mind the conception. The wife sees in her an object of castigation relieving all the stress on her with no moderation. The children see in her another of their toys to be played with and achieve much joy She tries to break loose but she realises she has everything to lose But I see a warrior fighting hard to win the war a prisoner working hard to break loose for society loathes her Don’t you think she needs a break?
