She Wont Be Home....is one of my favorite Christmas songs ever by one of my favorite bands ever, Erasure. It has new meaning for me here today. I unfortunately needed to euthanize my dog this evening. I thought she had hurt her paw running around in the back yard a couple of weeks ago. I was hopeful last week as she seemed to be improving and was walking normal on it again. This past weekend and yesterday she was limping around on it more. I took her to the vet today after the big final I had been studying for over the extended weekend. She had bone cancer and it had been growing for months. In the lyrics the Dad gets upset...but in time he soon forgets...rings especially true and painful as I had to yell at her almost the entire 40 min drive to the vet (greyhound specialty) I took her to in Coon Rapids, so she wouldnt further hurt herself trying to stand up. I thanked her for the time I had with her (only about 6 years of her 8 years) and told to her to say hello to Daisy (my previous dog) and my grandmother who both passed in the past 10 years. I hope they both were there to greet her. I wanted to say to you, how much I want to be with you. She Wont Be Home.
