She is strong, She is trying and finally She is speaking up. It is perhaps, one of the greatest ironies of the human race, that it so discriminates nearly half of itself. That it shows disdain to those very members to whom it owes existence and continuity. We, at TLI stand awed by the power we hear in these voices. Even as they take you through the narrative of ages, a shameful narrative of hypocritical values and stands, they also convince you that they have broken out of the cages that have held many for too long. There is no turning back, no returning. Even as many men (and many women too) dither over the ifs and hows and whys they should respect women who do not fit into their mould of the silent, meek, domesticated, proper type, these women step out and decide that for themselves, self-respect is good enough. They do not need consent from an imperfect system. And men who are not insecure, continue respecting them, as they respect all women.
