She made her way to the entrance. Carrying bags that were clearly too big for her, she was struggling even to board the bus. Her journey was disrupted because the previous bus had broken down, one had already took in a handful of passengers and left. She had missed it. After a longer wait, this bus came to the rescue. She had to get on, no matter what. She quickened her steps, and almost toppled from not realising that she was stepping on the ends of her pink saree. Slowly and steadily, she adjusted her saree, shifted her feet. Smiled from the mere joy of securing a ride to Mumbai. Because second chances are hard to come by. She tried. She seized it. She got her second chance.
