She sat there staring outside. The air damp, warm with the wind - TopicsExpress

She sat there staring outside. The air damp, warm with the wind still. Birds could be heard in the distance singing cheerfully. Her hands were still. With only her thoughts. Memories playing in her mind like a movie on fast forward. Smiling here and there. She dreamed her world would be different. With someone to give her love caringly to, but she was where she needed to be. Loving herself for she had not done it in so long she almost forgot how. It used to lay on the shelf in a box with all other things that seemed useless but sentimental. Some of the broken pieces wrapped up tightly in black away where they could not hurt her. Eyes closed at this thought. The pain had dulled from so many years ago. But it was ok now. She was proud the pain did not corrupt her like it did him. Hatred had consumed him and ate him alive. It pained her to recognize this. But there was nothing she could do, and it had to be accepted. He may have asked her to save him so many years, which she did her best to do. Swinging life away in a darkend room. Promises of waiting for the other where songs tasted sweet to the ears. Our songs as they were called. She smirked and wondered if they still meant anything. She could finally listen with out thorns choking her and was greatful for it. He was her demon that had left his mark on her heart. But a scar is just a reminder of what happened. Whether it was the greatest moments in life or the most painful experience that you ever had to go through. Love is not painful. Hatred is, Sorrow, Betrayal, deciet and animosity are. But remember The opposite of love is not hatred but indifference. With the anger that had been lashed at her. All the suffering she went through while still standing. The only thing she desired was an apology and continue to be happy. To no longer swing life away, but to spin with her flow in her dance.
