Shebeen were formed in Glasgow in 1997...there 1st Gig was in McCormicks Bar in Bellshill. They Very Quickly Built up a Good Reputation as being a hard Working Republican Band With a In Yer Face Sound which Got Them Noticed Both In Ireland And Scotland. They soon decided to embark on there 1st Venture, Recording a CD. In Aid Of Tyrone PDF which was a great success. Raising Thousands Of Pounds For POWs Families. After Playing almost non stop in Scotland and Ireland building up a huge Following, the lads decided to do another CD DISBAND THE RUC all the proceeds From this one would also go towards POWs Families. This album too, was a great success. Then after Playing All over Scotland, England,Wales and Ireland To sell out Venues. They Decided it was Time to release a LIVE CD. This Turned Out to be The Defining Moment when Shebeen started to Gain an audience that reached all over the world. LIVE IN CREGGAN was the CD that made the band get Noticed, not just by there Followers but also by the Establishment. To this day that CD is still some peoples Favourite. Shebeen started touring all over.. Norway, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Spain to name a few places that the band has been too. Earning great reviews and new fans all over. Through the years they have also released Do You Really Think Its Over and Jackets Green They are Currently Working on a new album.. LIVE IN DUBLIN which Will be Released Soon..Through the 18 years the band have been gigging, Original Members Alan and Timmy, Having Been Joined by Padraig Mor In 2001 then Podgie soon after, and More recently John Francis On The Drums....The Lads are as determined now as they always have been in trying to highlight and educate people in the fight for Irish freedom. We will continue to do our utmost in trying to achieve this. We would also like to thank all past Members of the band for helping to get us where we are now. You know who you are.
