Sheilas comment about teaching Paul to walk got me to thinking about some of the stories Id like to share & those I havent heard. (Like Sheils) So if anybody has any Paul Hughes stories, please feel free to share! Mom told me a story not long ago I didnt know. Paul was living with mom & he wanted a dog. At the time you had to pay extortion rates for pet rent so he got a plant instead. Mom said that he treated that plant like a pet- loved it, petted it, fed it, even baby talked to it whos a good plant!? Youre such a pretty plant! And with all that attention, the plant grew gi-normous. LOL. One time Mom, Barb, Paul & I were watching the movie Cowboy Way with Keifer Sutherland & Woody Harrelson. Paul got the wild hair idea, in the middle of the freakin movie, to rope & tie me up. We wrestled on the floor & he tried & tried to calf rope me, but Id finally gotten strong enough that he couldnt do it. So he sits on me, me squirming the whole time, did his usual fart on me & slowly drip drool on my face, grabs a pair of handcuffs, cuffed my wrist to my ankle & then left me like that for the rest of the movie. He thought it was so damn funny, he laughed & laughed, & was quite pleased with himself. Schloogie schlagga baba yagga! was his favorite phrase whenever he licked our faces or slobbered on us, with that wild grin of his. To this day I cant watch that movie without thinking about that & giggling. Not sure why he had cuffs- he & Frank were a pair of Hekyl & Jekyls, stalking the land & creating all kinds of mayhem to their amusement, so they were probably a leftover of something they had cooked up. They both had been in the Marine Corps at the time, so I know they had learned a whole new level of weird to add to their bag of tricks! When we were kids, it was bad enough when just Paul was picking on me. Add Frank to the mix & I really got it!! And then got it AGAIN when I was blamed for the shit they did lol. Mom & Barb still believe it was my moldy smelling pizza slices under my bed, stuffed in the corner. That was ALL Paul & Frank, using my bed as a trampoline. I sure do miss the shenanigans of those two.
