Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2013 which was to be held on July 3 to 7 OFFICIALLY CANCELLED. The official announcement came from Shell as the organizing committee. This event cancellation due to poor air quality and haze that enveloped the circuit area from forest fires in Riau, Indonesia. The committee prioritizes the safety of the participants, organizers, sponsors, spectators, and all parties will be in the circuit later. The organizers did not want to take the risk because humans safety has always been and will always be the highest priority of all. FYI, Rakata Team is full-ready to meet this competition. Our vehicle had reached the circuit and all the needs and requirements are very well prepared. However, due to the cancellation of this event, Rakata Team has made a decision to CANCEL THE DEPARTURE TO MALAYSIA. All of the hard work, time, energy, thoughts and everything that has been sacrificed for this team over the last 10 months can not be paid off well because of this tragedy. We are very grateful to all forms of support that has been given to us. We will not stop fighting and will continue to innovate and do our best. Shell Eco-marathon Asia will be held on the next 6 to 9 February 2014 in the Manila, Philippines. Rakata team will soon take a decision in this regard and will be welcome SEM ASIA 2014 to keep fighting to bring the name of Institut Teknologi Bandung and Indonesia !! CARE, CREATE, CONSERVE !!
