Shelter life is tough to swallow for a dog who’s been relatively well cared for. Not that 3-year-old Peanut was indulged with any luxuries mind you but he led a decent life. He didn’t get too much attention or exercise; but he was kept comfortable. Now Peanuts family has decided to move to an apartment where pit bull mixes are not allowed. Peanut has been a brave boy hanging out in the Brooklyn ACC. He’s an interesting mix of pit bull and Jack Russell terrier & he’s striking in appearance. Any dog would be a bit edgy stuck in a noisy shelter, but Peanut has been managing to keep his manners within respectable bounds. He’s not welcome at the shelter and they’re going to kill him tomorrow. That would be such a shame to make such a lovely dog endure a solitary death. When someone comes for Peanut tomorrow - well, let’s be sure it’s to send him to a new home and not to the Euthanasia Room. The best effort we can make on Peanut’s behalf is to share him widely.
