As a fellow volunteer put it, Shorty is a GREAT dog...but he has everything going against him. Hes big. Hes black. Hes older. Hes a pit bull mix. Shorty has been passed by again and again. BUT, if you take the time to look past all the superficial exterior/labels, you will find a dog with a Heart of Gold!!! Shorty is THE MOST lovable, sweet, laid back, affectionate, smart, gentle and calm dog there is! He knows sit and wait, he walks great on leash, he gives kisses and I think hes adorable! (If I didnt already have 4 of my own at home I would have adopted him on the spot!) Shorty has been waiting VERY patiently for his forever family at Collier Domestic Animal Services (DAS). Shorty really is the best of the best, but dont take my word for it, come by and spend some time with him and see for yourself! Be forewarned, hell be sure to steal your heart!
