Shera is in need of help. She is currently at the Marshmallow Foundation in Detroit Lakes, MN. Upon arriving at our shelter in April 2014, staff noticed that she had a small patch of missing hair on her back. We were able to get her in for an evaluation with a veterinarian and were told that it is not ringworm or thyroid-related: it is due to anxiety. We dont know what started it but we are guessing its from being in the shelter environment. It is growing tremendously. She is literally pulling her hair out and self-mutilating because of the extreme stress she is experiencing. Shera needs a quiet home with no other pets as she does not like other critters at all. Shera is a Gray Tiger/Domestic Short Hair kitty between 4-5 years old, spayed, and actually already microchipped (although we were never able to reach the person registered on the chip).
