Sherry MacDonald Our Gunnar, 7 year old Golden Retriever, was diagnosed this May (2014) with cutaneous lymphoma. I thought he had mosquito bites. This cancer is just plain nasty. We are administering a second dose on Lomustine as his chemotherapy tomorrow. I just hope and pray it works miracles. Fortunately he is mostly happy, rests more and doesnt seem to know he has a condition. Eating is up and down. Ill make him anything hell try, mostly rice and ground beef. We make a meatball with limited ingredient or ID canned food for his prednisone and antibiotics. Photo of Gunnar; lesion as it first presented; worst lesion that just wont go away. Our second son is Cooper, age 6. He and Gunnar are brothers, same parents, different litters. Cooper is an orthopedic nightmare and is in a funk. I think he is concerned about his big brother. He sniffs Gunnars body and then kind of hangs and shakes his head.
