Sherston Arts Festival events this weekend are jam packed so don’t miss out – the Art Exhibition starts at 10 am in Church ( that’s if you are not at the preview evening on Friday to snap up a lovely new picture). The Young Artists Exhibition also starts at 10 am in the British Schoolroom and will be eagerly visited by all those who have contributed to The Peg Village – it looks great. The scarecrow trail starts at 12 noon and you can pick up your maps ( £2) also from the British Schoolroom. We have an amazing trail this year with 28 scarecrows, made on the theme of Best of British, all around the village. You might just have time to walk the trail before the Young Musicians Concert in the Village Hall at 4 pm, showcasing all our emerging musical talent. On Sunday you can carry on with the scarecrow trail if you haven’t done it on Saturday, making sure to fill in your form (helpful to provide your own pencil) and return to the British Schoolroom before 4pm for the prizegiving (best scarecrow and most correct answers) On Sunday afternoon we also have our children’s show Peter and the Wolf by Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre ( all the way from Scotland !) at 2.30 in the Village Hall. Tickets are selling fast so don’t leave it too late to get yours. For any other information, see our Arts Festival leaflets.
