Shes enthusiastic, articulate and hard working. Shes a great proponent of the Fair Tax, as is Governor Huckabee. Heres more of the story. Why is Governor Huckabee the true change agent? Because America needs jobs. The Fair Tax will create millions of jobs as companies bring their businesses back to America. America will once again be the most competitive place to do business in the world as the corporate tax rates drop to zero. The poor will be lifted out of poverty by a combination of a pre-bate and a multitude of jobs to choose from. Most of all, the hard working middle class will get the break it has been longing for. No longer will there be those huge deductions coming out of a workers payroll. The federal deductions go away. So does the I.R.S. Every worker can keep what they earn. Further, people can enjoy the fruits of their efforts. There will be no taxes on capital gains, gift taxes or inheritance taxes. Instead, taxes are collected at the cash registers by the individual States. Imagine a world in which April 15th is just another sunny day, as Governor Huckabee says. The Fair Tax is a bi-partisan bill. It appeals to the left because it is progressive. If a millionaire wants to buy a beautiful new mansion at the seashore, it will cost him or her money- 23 percent. But it is also a choice. People choose to pay taxes by buying new homes. If a home is pre-owned, it is tax free. Watch out for the boom in the housing industry. And watch out for my mother who loves to shop when she learns it will be patriotic to spend money. With jobs galore, and workers with cash on hand, expect economic prosperity to return to America. Once I explain the Fair Tax to people such as my local coffee shop owner, my grass cutter, or my hair stylist like I have done, most people understand the beauty of the Fair Tax, whether left or right. Then when I tell people that it gets rid of most of the lobbyists in Washington (because there is no need for lobbyists when the tax rate goes to zero) smiles come over their faces.
