Shiloh Shepherd Registry rules for naming dogs and registering - TopicsExpress

Shiloh Shepherd Registry rules for naming dogs and registering kennel names: All Shiloh registries ask that you name your puppy using 30 or so letters and spaces. They will either approve or disapprove that name before issuing papers. Kennel names are registered and no one else can use that name, ie CJ. One of my companion puppy buyers proudly put a picture with the name of her puppy on facebook. Instead of everyone saying nice things, there was at least one person who decided that she would pick apart that name and harass this innocent, sweet puppy buyer. The buyer has no idea how vicious things can be in this Shiloh world, so she was surprised and hurt by accusations that were meaningless. When naming your kennel, you should use something that is not a generic, everyday word. That only makes sense. If you use an everyday word, then you should expect that word to be used in an everyday type of way. In this case, the registry of choice approved that puppy’s registered name and thought nothing of it as it contained everyday words and had the CJ name in front of it. In closing, I sure wish that people had more to do with their lives than to pick up on something trivial and make it into a heated debate with accusations to an innocent person. I stand by my puppies and my buyers. They are family to me.
