It is an amazing program that allows you to buy now instead of waiting 3 or more years after one of these events Buyer: No problem, I want to get a first time homebuyer program Me: Oh, I must have misunderstood, I thought you said that you have owned a home in the last 3 years. Buyer: I did, I foreclosed on it a few months ago Me: If you owned a home a few months ago you would not qualify for a first time homebuyer program Buyer: But I dont own a home now Me: Correct, but you have owned a home in the last 3 years Buyer: Correct Me: So you cant use a first time homebuyer program Buyer: Thats why Im here... Me: I think we need to start over.....
