Short, but fun night as we got a call after 10:30 from daughter Chelsea & 3.5 U of Ark friends. Their plane unexpectedly landed in Spfld. b/c Am. Airlines said it couldnt land at XNA due to runway damage from a lightning strike, ( this is not an April Fools joke)! .....4 of them had travelled well over 24 hrs from Naples, Italy, ( I called it spring break & they swear they were enrolled in a class to study museum & art law)! Anyway they were exhausted & we were happy to share extra beds & sofas. I fed them bacon, pancakes, fruit & coffee for breakfast & now Dale (Dad-of-the-year) is driving them 2+ hrs to Fayetteville. Oh yes...the .5 guest had not been part of the Italy group. She was picked up here after 2:00 am & arrived in Fay. after 4:00 am to give crucial presentation in class this morning... I hope she got a few hrs of sleep.
